This is the night when you will find out what team your child is in and meet everyone who will be involved in the coming season as well as deciding on who will be doing what roles for your team.
You will need to decide the following on the night:
- Coach - this is who will be running the training nights as well as organising the team on game days
- Manager - this is who will be running the club admin such as communicating about upcoming games, which players may be in goal, which family will be cleaning shirts and providing half time fruit each week.
- Team Shirts - the newly appointed manager should get all shirt sizes for their team and visit the club house to get the team shirts for the year
- Training Time - the newly appointed coach should agree on a training time(s) with all members and mark off their time and choose a pitch on the timesheet/map provided at the club house.
It can also be a good idea to assign someone to the following roles:
- Assistant Coach - who will take over the coaching role if the coach is unavailable
- Assistant Manager - who will take over from the manager they are unavailable
