Coaches & Managers Information

The coach and manager of each junior team are volunteers and the key members to the successful running of a team.

Playing Rules

There are slightly different rules for each age group so please make yourself aware of the rules for your group from the below list.

Equipment & Training

Club Kit & Equipment

Training Bags - Each team will be provided with a bag of balls for training which includes some cones and bibs.

Playing Kit – Each team will be provided with a playing strip for wearing on match days. Players must play in club black socks, club shorts, shin pads and football boots. Please ensure the playing kit is kept together week on week and we suggest a washing roster be started to manage this.

The training kit is returned to the Club at the end of the season.  Players can keep their playing shirts although please return the plastic tubs they were issued in to the Club.

Training dates and times are determined by individual teams. We will allocate each team an area of the field to train on and we ask that you train in this area each week to avoid any confusion. All players must train with football boots and shin pads.

Managing Game Time

MiniRoos has a central focus of equal game time. As a guide, see the below table to explain this.

Away Games – check the Football Queensland website for details of pitch closures from all clubs around Brisbane metro-wet-weather

The MiniRoos Rules and game formats will have been provided to all coaches and managers and can also be found at the top of this page. Please familiarise yourself with the rules relevant to your age group as the small sided game format may not be the same as you played previously. We suggest that you might like to print a copy of the rules relevant to your age group to keep with your training kit
