COVID-19 Guidelines

These are some of the Football Brisbane guidelines in place for safe resumption of training.

Players & Parents


BEFORE TRAINING
  • Download the COVIDSafe App from the App Store or Google Play
  • Arrive already prepared for training – changing rooms will not be in use
  • Bring your own water bottle with your name clearly marked on it
  • Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to training. Remain in the car until 5 minutes prior to the session

ARRIVING AT TRAINING
  • ’Get in, train, get out’
  • Provide your details to the coach or a club official so they can mark you off on the attendance register
  • Take the direction of club officials and coaches to ensure that COVID guidelines are being complied with

DURING TRAINING
  • Maintain physical distancing requirements (1.5 metre distance)
  • Maintain good hygiene practices including regular hand sanitising
  • Non-contact activities including no tackling
  • Avoid handling the ball (including no heading) and equipment or heading of the ball

PARENTS
  • Only one parent/carer to accompany children to training sessions
  • Please don’t enter your child’s training group/zone
  • If there is a spectator zone, remain within this zone and maintain physical distancing requirements (1.5 metre distance). Otherwise, please remain in your car.

Coaches


BEFORE TRAINING
  • Download the COVIDSafe App from the App Store or Google Play
  • Become familiar with the Return to Training Guidelines
  • Be ready to go to training

AT TRAINING
  • Ensure that a full-size field has been broken up into three training zones and that there is a 5-metre buffer between each training zone
  • Ask participants the COVIDSafe screening questions. If any participant fails the screening questions, ask them to leave the venue immediately and advise your club contact of the circumstance
  • Record the details of participants on the attendance record 
  • Ensure that only 20 people (including yourself and any support staff) operate in a training zone
  • Ensure that participants are maintaining physical distancing 
- Each participant to maintain 1.5 metre distance from each other
- No more than one person per 4m2
  • Only use training drills that conform to the stage 2 restrictions
- Non-contact activities
- No heading 
- No throw-ins
  • Minimum sharing of equipment and only you are to move equipment around
  • Ensure that no one from another training zone comes into your zone
  • Ensure a sanitiser break is incorporated into the session at approximately the halfway point
  • During the sanitiser break, wipe down training equipment 
  • Ensure that training sessions start and finish on time and that participants are encouraged to leave the venue as soon as practical after the session has concluded 

AFTER TRAINING
  • Take a photo of the attendance record and send a copy to your club’s nominated COVID-Safe officer
  • Wash and disinfect and equipment used during the training session e.g. balls, cones
